Why is the FA Cup 5th round in midweek?
The Premier League has implemented a staggered winter break, where every team gets a two-week break at some time between the weekend of February 1 and the weekend of February 2.
That leaves no weekend free in the calendar for the FA Cup 5th round, which has moved to midweek as a result.
FA Cup 5th round replays are also a thing of the past, having been scrapped last season.
