FA Cup fifth round TV schedule announced with Man Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea to be shown over 4 days of action-packed week


FOUR FA Cup fifth round ties will be broadcast live on TV with the matches to be shown over a four-day period.

The fixtures will take place from between Monday, March 2 to Thursday, March 5.

The first match that has been picked for broadcast is Arsenal’s trip to Fratton Park where they face League One side Portsmouth.

Those wishing to tune in to the Monday 7.45pm clash will have to do so on BT Sport 1.

Next up on the schedule is Chelsea’s blockbuster encounter against the Premier League’s runaway leaders Liverpool.

BBC One is the only place to watch the match at Stamford Bridge, with the Tuesday kick-off starting at 7.45pm.

The same channel will also provide Wednesday’s fixture between Sheffield Wednesday and current holders Manchester City.

And then Derby County’s match against Manchester United on Thursday at 7.45pm on BT Sport 1 finishes up the TV games.

There will be no replays from this point onwards in the competition, with extra-time and penalties to decide the outcome of a match should both sides be level after 90 minutes.

The draw for the FA Cup quarter-final will take place after the Citizens face the Owls.

Each team involved in a televised match in the fifth round will receive a broadcast fee of £250,000.

Those that win their ties will also pocket £360,000 from the FA prize fund.
