But time is running out for the Florida franchise to be ready for the big day.

Pictures of the Fort Lauderdale Stadium taken on January 8 showed the stadium and its surroundings are still not ready.

Diggers and cranes surrounded the site with lots still needed to be sorted before that March date.

It is quite the contrast to the concept pictures on the Inter Miami website with the completed stands bursting with flashes of pink and a sleek design all around.

Nevertheless, Inter Miami are getting themselves and supporters geared up for the Galaxy game on the website.

The post reads: “Inter Miami CF is excited to announce its home debut against the Los Angeles Galaxy on March 14, 2020.

“As the stadium nears completion, so does our historic debut at home with La Familia. Be part of fútbol history and join us for a fiesta unlike any other.

“Fútbol comes full circle as Inter Miami faces former MLS club of David Beckham, the LA Galaxy.

“As a player, the Galaxy was the MLS side of Beckham between 2007-2012. Now, as club owner of Inter Miami, Beckham will be supporting alongside the 18,000 in attendance and countless tuning in from afar.”

Similar to Liverpool in 2016/17, the MLS have scheduled their first two league matches to be away – with Los Angeles FC first on March 1 followed by DC United six days later.

They then host LA Galaxy, New York Red Bulls and Philadelphia Union at Fort Lauderdale.

The club’s plan, though, is to use the 18,000-capacity stadium for two years.

Then it will become the training and academy complex while the first team will play their matches at the brand-new Miami Freedom Park.

It will be a 25,000-seater stadium with the 58-acre grounds completed with public parks, a tech hub, restaurants and shops.

On the field, preparations are coming together for LA Galaxy with 24 players already in the squad, including Robbie Robinson from the MLS Super Draft.

Uruguayan Diego Alonso has been appointed as the inaugural head coach with Tony Pulis’ son Anthony one of his assistants.
