LIVERPOOL star Alisson was in tears as he baptised close friend and team-mate Roberto Firmino in an emotional ceremony on Tuesday.
The Brazilian pair were joined by Firmino’s family and friends at the forward’s home as he used his own swimming pool for the immersion, according to the Mail.

Both devout Christians, Alisson had the privilege of lowering his pal into the water alongside Brazilian worship singer Isaias Saad before Firmino punched the air and embraced his wife Larissa, who he married in 2017.
Most of people in attendance wore t-shirts with a cross-equals-love logo on it, commonly associated with the global Hillsong Church.
And in an Instagram post on Wednesday, backed by the Portuguese version of Lauren Daigle’s worship song You Say, Firmino confessed: “Jesus is love. It has no explanation.
“Just believe in him, just believe and feel the Holy Spirit.”
He captioned the post: “I gave you my failures and the victories I will give you too. My greatest title is Your love Jesus!
“‘Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away; behold, new things have come!’ New time.”
The video captured some of the highlights from the ceremony which included singing, the baptism ceremony and Alisson appearing to get emotional while praying for his friend.
It then closes with a verse from the book of Mark, which reads: “Whoever believes and is baptised will be saved.”
Larissa also posted to social media and added: “Hope in the Lord and trust. Wait, He comes, trust, He comes and makes a miracle. I AND MY FAMILY WILL SERVE THE LORD.”
