TRANMERE’S FA Cup 3rd round replay against Watford has been postponed.
Micky Mellon’s side came back from 3-0 down to force a replay against the Hornets but will have to wait for their chance to cause an upset at Prenton Park.

That also means that the winner’s fourth round TV date with either Wolves or Man Utd is likely to be moved as well.
Why has Tranmere vs Watford been postponed?
Tranmere vs Watford has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
A statement on the Watford website read: “Tonight’s Emirates FA Cup third round replay against Tranmere Rovers has been postponed, following heavy rainfall from Storm Brendan at Prenton Park since Sunday.
“Both clubs were in regular contact with each other, the referee and the Football Association over the past two days, discussing the options available.
“However, following a pitch inspection this afternoon, the referee decided the match unfortunately could not go ahead.”
“The date for the rescheduled match will follow as soon as possible.”
On Sunday, Liverpool Women’s game against Man Utd was called off at the same venue due to flooding.
When will Tranmere vs Watford be played now?
A new date for Tranmere vs Watford has yet to be confirmed.
However, The Hornets face Tottenham at home on Saturday and Aston Villa away on Tuesday, which means no date is likely to be available until the following weekend.
This was scheduled to be fourth round weekend, with the winner taking on Wolves or Man Utd on Sunday, January 26 at 3pm.
But it is now likely that the match at Prenton Park will be played then, meaning Manchester United could suffer a fixture pile-up.
Is Tranmere vs Watford on TV and can I live stream it?
Unfortunately, Tranmere vs Watford is not on live UK television, and nor will the rescheduled game be.
BBC and BT Sport have been allocated one FA Cup third round replay each and have already made their picks.
BBC have chosen to show Tottenham vs Middlesbrough tonight, while BT Sport will show Man Utd vs Wolves tomorrow.
What they said
Watford manager Nigel Pearson: “We will give the game the respect it deserves, but I can’t say it is the priority because it is not the priority for us.
“I have to prioritise our status in the Premier League.”
On whether the game would go ahead, Pearson said: “I know you are speculating about the game going ahead, but that is not for us to think about.
“For us we travel, we play and we try to win.
“If the game is in doubt, I can’t do anything about that.”
Tranmere manager Micky Mellon: “There’s an awful lot riding on it but we won’t get too far ahead of ourselves.
“We have to respect the fact we are playing against a Premier League team.
“We know that it will be very, very difficult to knock Watford out.
“We know what the size of the prize is for the team that goes through so it’s everything to play for, and a big night for Tranmere which we’ll all enjoy being involved in.”
What are the latest odds?
Despite their slip-up at Vicarage Road and the likelihood of Pearson naming a fringe xi, Watford are strong favourites at Prenton Park.
