AJAX reportedly want to bring Matthijs de Ligt back on loan to save him from his Juventus nightmare.
The defender has failed to live up to expectations since he left the Dutch side to join the Serie A giants in a £68million summer deal.

Portuguese source A Bola claim Ajax are keeping a close eye on the 20-year-old’s situation in Italy.
It is understood that the Eredivisie side will offer him an escape route if things do not improve in Turin.
He kicked off his career with Maurizio Sarri’s side by scoring a shocking own goal against Inter Milan.
And his poor spell of form has led to fans branding him as the “Dutch Phil Jones”.
De Ligt has fallen down the pecking order at Juve behind Merih Demiral.
The 20-year-old has spent the last five games on the bench, but reports have suggested he is struggling with a shoulder injury.
Since his arrival, he has managed to keep four clean sheets in 13 appearances.
Cristiano Ronaldo and other senior members have tried to cheer up their dispirited team-mate in training.
Failing that, former club Ajax are ready to welcome him back with open arms.
Despite not picking him as his first-choice centre-back, Sarri has insisted De Ligt will be the best defender in the world one day.
Speaking to Sky Sport Italia, he said: “I am the first to be convinced that he will become the first defender in the world.
“He had five difficult months playing every three days and having to settle in a new country, a new league with a new language.”
