DILLIAN WHYTE has demanded a slugfest against Russian veteran Alexander Povetkin.
The Brit is set for talks with his promoter Eddie Hearn over plans for 2020, with Povetkin firmly in his sights.

Whyte won last time out when he beat Mariusz Wach on the undercard of Anthony Joshua’s revenge mission against Andy Ruiz Jr in Saudi Arabia.
It was Whyte first fight back since a doping charge against him was thrown out by UKAD.
And now The Bodysnatcher is ready to fight his way back to the top of heavyweight boxing – with Povetkin the first stepping stone.
Asked about that potential scrap, Whyte told Sky Sports: “If he want it, he can get it.
“It’s going to be a tear-up, because he is not really a mover and I’m not really a mover, so he’s a come forward fighter and I come forward.
“We’re going to have a scrap. Povetkin comes to fight doesn’t he. He doesn’t come to mess about. I’m the same, so let’s get it.
“Let’s see who has got the best left hook around.”

WILDER THE MAIN TARGET
Last time out Povetkin drew against the highly-rated Michael Hunter, also on AJ’s undercard out in the Middle East.
Whyte’s main aim is to fight WBC world champ, Deontay Wilder – a man he has been calling out for years.
The Brit is the mandatory challenger for that belt, but continues to be frustrated in his attempts to become a world champion.
Wilder fights Tyson Fury in a rematch on February 22.
Whyte continued: “I’ve got a meeting with Eddie on Tuesday, so we’re going to see, because there are a lot of fights happening and stuff.
“We’ve got to be mindful of the date and timing and stuff, so I need to speak to him to get a full idea of his plans. We’ll meet and see what the plans are and then we’ll make a decision.
“I’m not going to wait another 800 days [for Wilder]. What for?”
