ERROL SPENCE JR and Terence Crawford agreed a welterweight unification fight after a Twitter exchange and a phonecall.
Appearing to ditch the social media nonsense — the pair had a frank exchange, before a chat on the blower settled an agreement for a blockbuster dust-up.

Crawford tweeted: “@ErrolSpenceJr is a cool dude on some real s*** we both agree the fight will happen.”
While nothing has been officially announced, a highly-anticipated welterweight duel between the two would mark a new era at welterweight after the retirements of Floyd Mayweather Jr and Manny Pacquiao.
There had been growing frustration as Crawford called out his fellow American — urging him to stop using promoters as excuses.
The two 147lb aces have circled each other ever since Bud moved up from super-lightweight in 2018.
The pair have not enjoyed the huge purses of some of their heavyweight colleagues, such as Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder, with AJ earning around £40m in 2019.
JOIN THE BIG-EARNERS
The pair both have net worths of £4.5m and £5.32m respectively, with a big fight representing the chance for a huge purse, with pay-per-view interest in America alone likely to be huge.
The Twitter exchange was sparked when Crawford’s sister Latisha challenged Spence to: “Make the fight then.”
Spence replied: “It go both ways Mrs.”
Then Crawford intervened, saying: “So what’s the hold up homie? When I came to the division y’all said I had to get a title first. Now you changed yo mind and talking about wrong side of the street.
“I’m ready when you ready. Matter of fact I been ready before I even had a 147lb fight.”
