SUPER-AGENT Mino Raiola has lashed out at Ajax after savaging Manchester United by threatening never to deal with them again.
Paul Pogba’s agent has gone on the offensive against the Dutch club over their handling of Matthijs de Ligt’s summer transfer to Juventus.
Raiola has now lashed out at Ajax over their handling of the sale of De Ligt
The Serie A side paid an initial £67.8m for the Ajax defender – while his old team-mate Frenkie de Jong left in a similarly big money move to Barcelona.
But Raiola said he is still furious with Ajax for how they handled losing their two best players.
The Italian agent, who has now sworn never to send players to Old Trafford again, said: “I don’t want to say much about it any more, the most important thing is that Matthijs is happy.
“A year earlier, Matthijs was able to go to Juventus, but Ajax asked him to stay when certain agreements were made.
“But due to the transfer of Frenkie de Jong to Barcelona, from which a top amount rolled out, Ajax suddenly wanted more than what we had agreed upon.
“What frustrates me most is that this has gone behind Matthijs’ back.
“My problem is that I identify with my football players. I am that player, at least that’s how I feel.”
Raiola has lashed out in recent days after saying Man Utd pose a “problem” for Pogba.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has hit back at Raiola by saying his star player was advised to have an ankle operation by “his people”.
The World Cup winner played no part in Man Utd’s 2-0 defeat at Arsenal and has now been missing from 21 matches this season.
In his attack, Raiola criticised United for being “out of touch with reality” and suggested the club is so haphazard they would have ruined the careers of greats such as Pele and Diego Maradona.
Raiola said: “Pogba’s problem is Manchester United. It’s a club out of touch with reality and without a sporting project.
“I wouldn’t take anyone there, they would even ruin Maradona, Pele and Maldini.
“Paul needs a club and a squad, one like Juventus was before.”
