OLE GUNNAR SOLSKJAER has been slaughtered by Manchseter United fans for “writing off” the season, after he admitted he’s already looking ahead to next term.
The Old Trafford boss suggested this term should be be chalked up as a learning experience as he already appears to be planning for next season.

United slipped to a shock 2-0 defeat away to basement-boys Watford at the weekend, with Solskjaer suggesting they should regroup and focus on 2020-21, while still in 2019.
But fans have criticised his attitude, saying bosses of yesteryear would never get away with it.
Following the Hornets loss, Solskjaer said: “We’re halfway through this season and we knew this season was going to be a season of some ups and downs.
“This season will be used to find a team and a squad for next season, but hopefully we can speed this process up by getting more results.
“I expect us to be more consistent, definitely more experienced and learning from these setbacks.
“But at the moment we’re a little bit further behind than what I was hoping for.”
Solskjaer continued by saying the best way to improve will be for United to work on their ability to break down defences rather than simply rely on counter-attacking.
The Norwegian added: “We want to be a team that can go and dominate teams and break teams down.
“It’s taken Liverpool a few years to get to that state and we need to just keep on building because that’s what we want to get to.
“We’re good at counter attacking. We’ve got pace and fast players. We should always keep that because that’s in our tradition.
“Now we need to be better at breaking lower blocks.
“That’s where this team is going to learn and grow and I’m sure we’ll see an improvement over this season and hopefully for next year.”

But fans didn’t take kindly to the attitude, with one tweeting: “Sorry. But if Moyes, LVG or Jose said this they’d be out.
“Since when does United write off seasons?”
Another wrote: “So Solskjaer has just publicly written off this season and said it’s about finding a team for next season.
“It’s Christmas FFS! Stunning. Absolutely stunning the excuses coming out of that club.”
A third said: “Solskjaer really said that this season this will used for next season. Effectively written the season off already. Smh. I’m done!!!”
Another even called the club a “lost cause”.
