WAYNE ROONEY reckons ‘Mr Everton’ Duncan Ferguson can bag the manager’s job if he beats Manchester United tomorrow.
Roo is backing his former Toffees team-mate as the perfect man to lift the gloom after Marco Silva’s Goodison sacking.

He said: “Duncan is Mr Everton and the players put in a real big performance for him against Chelsea — and the fans needed that.”
Ferguson galvanised the Premier League strugglers by inspiring them to a 3-1 win over the Blues.
Rooney, who left Everton for United in 2004 before returning in 2017, grinned: “I saw he was wearing a suit and sweatbands!
“He won’t take them off, he’s had them for years. He had them years ago when I was there so they must smell!
“But that’s Duncan. I saw somewhere that he also had Howard Kendall’s watch on — which was a nice touch as well.
“Fans needed to see that passion from the team, but also from the manager.
“If Duncan gets a win on Sunday it probably puts him in the reckoning to get it full-time.”
Ferguson must convince owner Farhad Moshiri to overlook Carlo Ancelotti, Unai Emery and David Moyes to get the job on a permanent basis.
After his emotional celebrations against Chelsea, Ferguson claims he will go even more wild if they win at Old Trafford.
He said: “I’m not gonna change. I’d be on the roof if we get a win there.
“I have a good record against United there, so happy days. Unfortunately they’re on the up now.
“It’s going to be a big ask but we’ll give a good account of ourselves.”
Meanwhile, Everton will submit plans for their new ground at Bramley-Moore Dock on December 23.
