Beach Volleyball Awards: Anders Mol earns Best Male Setter of 2018/2019

Lausanne, Switzerland, December 13, 2019 – Based on voting by players and coaches, the FIVB World Tour Beach Volleyball Awards recognise the outstanding performers of the year. We now turn to the Best Male Setter of 2018/2019.
Best Male Setter of 2018/2019 – Anders Mol (NOR)
For so tall a player, the 200cm tall Anders Mol has had to adapt to enjoy the success he and Christian Sorum have had over the last two seasons.
As the taller of the two players Mol often finds opponents serving short and low to him in a bid to tire him out through dropping low to dig the ball.
So far, such a theory has only enjoyed minimal success with the 22-year-old’s agility allowing him to drop low to the ball to start attacks. The Norwegian’s setting ability was also on full display in the 2018-19 FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour season and helped the pair to another eight gold medals.
Keep an eye on FIVB.com, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram as we unveil this year’s award winners.
