Man Utd target Erling Haaland throws water bottle in frustration after Liverpool score in Red Bull Salzburg showdown

RED BULL SALZBURG striker Erling Haaland took out his frustration on a water bottle after Liverpool scored their second goal of the game.

The in-demand forward failed to make an impact in Austria as Naby Keita and Mo Salah’s goals secured Liverpool Champions League qualification.

Haaland – a transfer target for a host of Premier League clubs – was subbed off after 75 minutes having missed a golden chance to give Salzburg a first-half lead.

After Mane made it two, the 19-year-old striker was chucked a bottle of water, but too angry to take a swig he instead smashed it on the ground.

Haaland predicted before the match that Liverpool would be beaten 3-1 including a hat-trick for himself.

Despite the bold claim, the teen star – who has 28 goals in 22 games this term – failed to deliver against a side he could be facing next season.

The giant Norwegian continues to be linked with a move to Manchester United.

And fans on Twitter did not forget the pre-match prediction.

One said: “Ok Haaland you are subbed and you didn’t score a hattrick, not even one goal.”

Another said: “ThReE gOaLs.”

One added: “Was Haaland playing? He said he’d get a hattrick.”
