Mario Balotelli axed from Brescia squad for Roma clash after being sent home from training for not getting involved

MARIO BALOTELLI has been axed from Brescia’s squad for their clash with Roma after being sent home from training for not getting involved enough.

He was told the leave the club’s training session after just ONE HOUR when he appeared totally disinterested.

And now after annoying Grosso he will not feature until in their Serie A clash tomorrow, according to a French sports journalist.

He posted: “Mario Balotelli excluded from Brescia group for the match vs Roma on Sunday. As a reminder, he had been removed from training by Grosso this week for lack of involvement.”

It raises speculation that he could be one of the first out of the door in January when Grosso puts his stamp on his new squad.

It has been a season to forget for Balotelli, 29.

The Italy forward was racially abused by Verona fans when the two sides met earlier this month.

He has played just six games this season.

Former Italy left-back Grosso came in earlier this month after Eugenio Corini was given the boot.

Balotelli has no love lost with the Brescia fans.

They released a statement when he was racially abused by fans, defending Verona. The supporters also branded their star striker “arrogant”.

He only joined on a three-year deal last summer.

Brescia is owned by former Leeds United chief Massimo Cellino.

Cellino said after the training-ground incident, “Grosso didn’t call me; I have to assume that there aren’t any problems.

“Anyway, Mario hasn’t been smiling since Verona.”

When at City, Balotelli unveiled a shirt with the words “why always me” when he scored a late winner against Manchester United.
