Jose Mourinho rings changes for Tottenham with Toby Alderweirld and Lucas Moura back in starting XI against West Ham

JOSE MOURINHO has already made drastic changes at Tottenham with Toby Alderweireld and Lucas Moura back in the starting XI.

The new Spurs manager has also brought back Harry Winks and moved Eric Dier into midfield after a stint in defence to face West Ham.

The Special One had already put his own stamp on the side as he travels to the London Stadium for Saturday’s lunch-time kick-off.

Christian Eriksen and Moussa Sissoko are also on the subs bench, with the former’s future in North London up in the air.

Paulo Gazzaniga continues in goal with Hugo Lloris still out injured, while Serge Aurier, Alderweireld, Davinson Sanchez and Ben Davies start in defence.

Winks and Dier partner each other in the centre of midfield alongside Dele Alli, who will play further forward.

And Moura will be in attack with Son and captain Harry Kane, as Mourinho looks for a flying start to his reign at Spurs.

On his selections, Mourinho revealed: “I think today is about a bit of everything. Motivation – I think they always had it.

“People think when results are bad it’s about motivation but they are professionals and they always try their best.

“Tactics – we have just a few little changes but I have not changed a lot just little things I think will help.

“Today is important but our future is also very important. We are going to try and find some positions and dynamic which we have had chance to work with Kane, Son and Moura.

“Today is about finding happiness.”

Mourinho also had his say on the saga surrounding Christian Eriksen – saying he will do whatever is best for the club.

He said: “I need to understand what is in Christian’s mind or heart and we have to make the right decision for the club.”

Meanwhile, Angelo Ogbonna and Andriy Yarmolenko are the two changes for West Ham in what is a must-win game for them.

Boss Manuel Pellegrini is under huge pressure to save his job, with fans and pundits calling for him to be sacked.

He will be looking for a much improve performance with no win since beating Manchester United 2-0 back in September.
