ANDRE ONANA split opinion with his bolshy celebration against Lyon.
The Manchester United goalkeeper has been in the thick of the action during the tense Europa League quarter-final clash.
Nemanja Matic labelled him “one of the worst goalkeepers in United’s history” as part of the raging war of words.
Onana – who was dropped for the Premier League defeat at Newcastle on Sunday – then made two blunders in the 2-2 draw in the first leg last week in France.
But when Manuel Ugarte gave the Red Devils a tenth-minute lead against the Ligue 1 outfit at Old Trafford tonight, the Cameroonian could not resist a cheeky reaction.
The goalkeeper ran over in front of the Lyon fans who booed him last week and performed a jumping, dancing jig, nodding his head in delight as he stared at the away end.
But United fans watching the antics at home were divided whether it was brilliant housery – or a bit too risky with 80 minutes to play and plenty of time for the gloating to come back and bite him.
One said: “Onana gave it large to Lyon fans after the goal.”
Another wrote: “No idea why he has to put himself under pressure so much.”
A third added: “Onana’s s***housery levels are elite love to see it.”

A fourth asked: “Who else is hoping for this to be a timeless image?”
A fifth typed: “An absolute embarrassment.”
A sixth replied: “Ultimate cringe moment.”
A seventh commented: “This guy is genuinely insane.”
An eighth responded: “Looking for trouble.”
A ninth posted: “He just couldn’t contain himself.”
And a final user quipped: “This is going to be hilarious when Matic scores.”
Ugarte tucked home from close range to give United the lead in the tie.
Diogo Dalot then made it 2-0 on the night – 4-2 on aggregate – with a fine finish low into the bottom corner.
However, things soon started unravelling for Onana and United who were left with egg on their face when Lyon scored FOUR unanswered goals including two in extra-time.

But Onana got the last laugh when Bruno Fernandes, Kobbie Mainoo and Harry Maguire all scored in the closing minutes to secure one of the all-time memorable European wins.
Onana sprinted straight to Ruben Amorim when Maguire headed in and picked up his manager in jubilant scenes.
