Following Bayern’s late collapse to Sir Alex Ferguson’s Treble-chasing Manchester United, Samuel Kuffour was devastated.

The Germans had led 1-0 for almost the entire match, courtesy of Mario Basler’s sixth minute goal.

But stoppage time strikes by Teddy Sheringham and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer turned the game around.

With anguish etched across his face, Kuffour had to be picked up by referee Pierluigi Collina.

Last night, he thankfully appeared to be in much better spirits.

Appearing at the event, he beamed while wearing a sharp suit and glasses.

Having tended to have very short dark hair as a player, Kuffour now sports a white hair and beard combo.
