JAKE PAUL has released sparring footage ahead of his fight against Mike Tyson – but fans have been left asking questions.

And Paul – who is moving up to heavyweight – gave fans a rare glimpse into his preparations by releasing a short clip in sparring.

But one said: “Better do better than that. Mike Tyson’s gonna take your head off.”

Another added: “Jake Paul going to get slept fighting like that.”

One asked: “Dude looks slow and sloppy what happened to him?”

But his former trainer BJ Flores argued: “That jab to the body sets up a heavy right hand all day.

“Great punch selection. Insane pace for a heavyweight.”

Tyson, 58, has also released carefully crafted training montages with fans equally worried with what they see.

The already controversial clash was further scrutinised when Tyson pulled out of the initial July 20 date after suffering an ulcer flare up in his stomach.

He has since been deemed medically fit to continue training and is required to undergo additional brain and hearts tests ahead of his fight.

Paul, 27, meanwhile has ten wins and only one loss in the boxing ring, losing a 2023 split-decision to Tommy Fury, 25.

Tyson will return for his first pro fight since 2005 despite facing Roy Jones Jr in an exhibition bout in 2020.

His comeback also marks Netflix’s first move into live boxing while the Dallas Cowboy’s 80,000-seat stadium plays host.

But Paul has been forced to defend the fight for the ages.

He told the Daily Mail: “Mike does what Mike wants to do, and he’s the one that you know wanted to make this a pro fight.

“He’s still wanting to do it, and he believes he can beat my ass truly behind the scenes.

‘To him, age is just a number, and he does look athletic, he does look strong, and he does look good on the mitts so we’ll see how it translates to the ring.”
