Danny Welbeck got the ball rolling for Brighton this afternoon, turning in Kaoru Mitoma’s cross for the 100th goal of his club career.
Twenty-nine of those were scored for Manchester United, but they seem a long time ago now with the striker having left Old Trafford a decade ago.
And now Welbeck has five Premier League goals against the Red Devils, only netting more in his career against West Ham (6).
The 33-year-old has scored more goals against United than any of their former players in the competition.

Since 2022-23, Manchester United have lost more Premier League games thanks to goals scored in the 90th minute and beyond than any other club (6).
They had only lost two such games in the first 30 seasons of the Premier League.
