LEWIS HAMILTON stormed to his first Grand Prix victory since 2021 in a thrilling British Grand Prix ahead of Max Verstappen and Lando Norris.
George Russell started the race from pole ahead of fellow Brits Hamilton and Norris.
But Russell was forced to retire his car having already been overtaken by Norris and Mercedes team-mate Hamilton.
World championship leader Verstappen struggled to keep pace with those ahead of him, before Hamilton overtook Norris when the McLaren driver pitted.
And the seven-time world champion safely maintained a sizeable enough gap for the last 12 laps to seal his first win since December 2021.
The victory sees Hamilton, 39, make history as it is his ninth British Grand Prix win, more than any other driver at a single circuit.
