WOLVES goalkeeper Jose Sa sprinted 50 yards to collar a pitch invader after Portugal’s first Euro 2024 training session was halted by a mass incursion.
Roberto Martinez’s side, including Cristiano Ronaldo, were having their first run out in Gütersloh In front of a crowd of 8,000.
But the session was brought to a sudden stop after a dozen or so supporters stormed the pitch.
Security staff tried in vain to prevent them getting close to the Portugal players.
But Sa took matters into his own hands as tempers boiled over.
The Molineux gloveman was far more determined than any of the bib-wearing guards as he rushed over to the touchline to scrag one of the pitch invaders around the neck.

It would have earned Sa a red card in a match situation but indicated how frustrated the Portuguese were to have their session so badly disrupted.
Portugal are preparing for their opening Euro 2024 clash next week when they take on the Czech Republic on Tuesday.
The open training session had attracted thousands of eyes with fans eager to get a close look at Cristiano Ronaldo.
An initial 6,000 free tickets were offered up to supporters this week for the travelling fans to catch a glimpse of one of the tournament’s favourites.

But it has since been reported that fans were reselling the tickets online for north of £670.
It’s no doubt Ronaldo will have been the main draw for most fans with the veteran superstar getting ready to line up in his 11th major tournament for Portugal this summer.
