Fans ask ‘what was he trying to achieve?’ as awkward footage of Chelsea star Mudryk emerges from Ukraine clash

FANS have poked fun at Chelsea star Mykhailo Mudryk after watching him in action for Ukraine.

The winger has failed to live up to his £97million price tag since moving to Stamford Bridge 18 months ago.

And although there were signs of improvement last season with five goals, there have also been opportunities for fans to ridicule Mudryk.

That was the case once again as he lined up in a friendly against Moldova which Ukraine won 4-0.

Unfortunately for Mudryk he had a moment to forget as he bizarrely ran the ball out of play while attempting to take on a defender.

The Chelsea star sprinted into the penalty area and brought the ball under control before attempting to drag the ball down the inside.

But his touch was terrible and he could not prevent the ball from going out for a goal kick, sparking ridicule from supporters.

One reacted saying: “What was he trying to achieve?

“This guy has spent a lot of years in top football to still be a raw product. What a shame.”

Another added: “Chelsea player next season lol.”
