LEICESTER have announced that Marc Albrighton, Kelechi Iheanacho and Dennis Praet will all leave the club this summer.

It comes after the club won the Championship title last season.

Most high-profile of the departures is Marc Albrighton, 34, who has been at the club since 2014 when he moved to the Foxes from Aston Villa.

The winger played a crucial part in the club’s unlikely title victory in 2016.

He was also a part of the side that won the FA Cup and Community Shield in 2021.

The winger spent last season on loan at West Brom and has now left the club on a free transfer.

Big money signing Kelechi Iheanacho also departs the club after his contract expired.

Iheanacho joined the Foxes from Manchester City in 2017 in a £25million move.

The forward never truly recreated the goalscoring form he had shown in bursts for the Cityzens, and last season scored five goals and registered one assist in 23 Championship games.

Belgian midfielder Praet also departs, having joined the club in 2019.

He made 107 appearances for the Foxes, scoring on five occasions.

Wilfred Ndidi’s contract is also up at the end of this month, but the club have confirmed they have opened negotiations with him over extending his stay at Leicester.

Barcelona are one of the teams that have been linked with picking up Ndidi on a free transfer.

Meanwhile 37-year-old forward Jamie Vardy has extended his stay at the club.

His contract was up this summer but the Foxes have given him a one year deal that will take him past his 38th birthday.

Leicester are still operating without a manager having lost Enzo Maresca to Chelsea.

Steve Cooper is the current front-runner for the job.
