Hamzah Sheeraz produces masterclass to stop Ammo Williams in 5v5 bout and give Frank Warren huge lead over Eddie Hearn

HAMZAH SHEERAZ was captain fantastic for Frank Warren, bagging him three wins and four points over enemy Eddie Hearn.

The Queensberry boss picked his favourite middleweight to lead his side into the 5v5 battle with his Matchroom nemesis and was already 2-0 up by the time his 25-year-old faced dangerous American Ammo Williams.

And the 30-year-old feud between the two boxing families was all but settled when Sheeraz put on a masterclass to bloody, bruise, floor and stop Williams to make it 6-0 to Warren and Queensberry, with only two fights and six points left on the table.

The early rounds seesawed with both men banking sessions for their promoters.

But Eddie Hearn was on his feet for the end of the fourth after he felt his American southpaw had snatched the fifth.

But Ilford ace Sheeraz’s piston-like jab kept poking at Williams right eye and it was closing through swelling by the seventh.

And round eight was a masterclass from the Arsenal fan who wanted to emulate the skill and spite of Dennis Bergkamp for this derby between British boxing’s two powerhouses.

Williams’ face was a bloody mess by the end of round nine while Sheeraz looked fresh out of the spa and round ten was no better for the brave but beleaguered southpaw.

Sheeraz had his sculpted beard clipped in the tenth but stood firm and returned in sensational style when a right hook dropped Austin for an eight count and the bell saved him from another blow.

But in the penultimate round it was conclusively over in devastating style as Sheeraz kept a high guard to absorb a dozen blows and then lashed out a right hook again.
