ENGLAND fans could face a hefty fine if they are found to be wearing fake shirts at Euro 2024 this summer.

The Three Lions unveiled their brand new kit for the tournament earlier this year and fans instantly fell in love.

However, the £85 price tag for the shirt alone stopped many from purchasing the Nike strip.

Instead, some turned to websites that sell fake alternatives.

While this isn’t an issue in England, it could be a huge problem for fans travelling to Germany.

Sports analyst Alex Hemming from Free Bets Ireland has warned that specific laws have been put in place to combat the spread of fake goods.

Germany enforces anti-counterfeit laws through the German Trademark Act, meaning the distribution, sale and possession of fake designer goods is prohibited.

If found carrying counterfeit items, fans could receive a penalty of up to £4,000.

German authorities can conduct random checks throughout the tournament.
