MANCHESTER UNITED have been forced into a late change to their team for the FA Cup final.

Casemiro is no longer in the matchday squad after being named on the bench by Erik ten Hag.

The midfielder has been forced out due to a “late injury issue” less than an hour before kick-off.

Instead, young defender Willy Kambwala has replaced the Brazilian amongst the substitutes.

Casemiro had already been dropped from the starting line-up by Ten Hag.

After deputising at centre-back due to injuries elsewhere, he made way for the returning Raphael Varane.

The Frenchman had been out injured since April with a muscle injury.

During that time, Varane, who will leave the club this summer, has missed 11 matches for the Red Devils.

Casemiro has made 32 appearances during his second season at Old Trafford, scoring five goals.

However, the 32-year-old has come in for criticism for his performances after struggling during his time playing as a defender.

As well as Varane coming in for Casemiro, Marcus Rashford also comes into the team.

The forward replaced Amad Diallo on Ten Hag’s team-sheet after being left out of England’s Euro 2024 squad.

How Man Utd can beat Man City in FA Cup final

Gareth Southgate opted not to include Rashford in his provisional 33-man squad for this summer’s tournament.

United are aiming to avenge their loss to Manchester City in last season’s final.

A win for the Red Devils will also secure a spot in the Europa League and avoid missing out on Europe for the first time since 2014.
