Cucurella was in action last night as the Blues took on his former club.

Each time he or fellow ex-Seagull Moises Caicedo had the ball, they were booed by many in the Amex crowd.

The full-back didn’t let the treatment affect his performance, and even laid on the assist for Cole Palmer’s brilliant opener.

Chelsea then doubled their lead through Christopher Nkunku just after the hour mark.

But Cucurella and Co held firm to win 2-1, grabbing a vital three points.

After the match, the former Amex favourite had some fun with his old fans on social media.

Cucurella posted four pictures to his Instagram account, with three from the match and the other of WWE “heel”, or comedy bad guy, John Cena.
