McGregor, 35, has enjoyed the fruits of his labour during his injury-enforced octagon hiatus and had many a tipple of his Proper No.12 Whiskey and Forged Irish Stout.

And he enjoyed a few drinks last weekend, just NINE weeks before his comeback clash with fellow fan favourite Michael Chandler.

The Notorious was seen drinking some of his Forged Stout at a launch party at the Nanny’s of Duleek in County Meath.

According to Bloody Elbow, McGregor didn’t overindulge on the dark stuff as he’d taken part in a hard day of training with his sparring partners.

His keeping a lid on things, however, didn’t stop him from making sure the paying punters got their fill of Forged Stout.

McGregor shared footage of the night with his 47 million Instagram followers, some of whom were quick to express their concerns.

One commented: “Nine weeks out from his first fight in just under three years.”

Another said: “The odds of having him as favourites are crazy. [Put the] house on Chandler.”

And another said: “Do you remember when he took fighting seriously?”

One remarked: “He’s going to get hurt against Chandler! Is there nobody but yes men in his camp telling him this is still 2015?”

Another chimed in: “Yeah, now I’m really worried about his next fight.”

One commented on the video saying: “Too many distractions, TBh. I’m worried about June 29.”

Former two-division champion McGregor has imposed a booze ban on himself now that he has just over eight weeks until his octagon return.

He wrote on Instagram earlier this month: “My brother Justin Bieber, the Mac has your back for life!

“From Beverly Hills to the Bahamas! See you in Vegas bro, it’s game on, the Mac is back!

“Five more nights on the delicious and then that be that see ya’s tonight I’M NOT F***NG LEAVING.”

McGregor hasn’t set foot inside the octagon since breaking his left leg in his trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier nearly three years ago.

Inside McGregor’s Notorious lifestyle

With more sides to his personality than an Octagon, Conor McGregor’s rise has been an enthralling watch.

And he plans to get back into the win column by with a viral head-kick KO of Chandler.

The UFC’s first simultaneous two-weight world champion recently told James Corden: “I am Terminator now.

“I have a titanium rod that goes into the knee and down to the bone, right down to my ankle.

“It’s unbreakable.

“I wish for and I will work for landing this kick with this steel bar in my leg against an opponent and getting them out of there.”

He added: “I want to see a picture of myself in the octagon with my leg broken.

“And then I want to see a picture of myself in the octagon with my leg wrapped around my opponent’s neck or head and putting him out and side by side.”
