  • Pochettino relief with home win

While Chelsea went into this game as firm favourites to progress, they made hard work of it going a goal behind.

Just when they thought they had addressed that thanks to goals from Jackson and Mudryk, the visitors then pegged them back once again.

Gallagher’s late strike settled the contest and the manager seemed relieved on the final whistle.

  • View from SunSport’s Isabelle Barker at Stamford Bridge

Mateo Joseph is a youngster oozing confidence in front of a very boisterous away end here at Stamford Bridge.

He hadn’t scored a senior goal before tonight and now he has two.

The Spanish 20-year-old has been redhot all evening, but so has Jaidon Anthony for Leeds who whipped an inch-perfect cross on Joseph’s plate for 2-1.

Chelsea were once again to blame for shoddy defending. They seem to still lack identity, shape and structure in what they do. How the tables have turned.

He whips the ball towards the back post but it is too deep for anyone to get on the end of it.

Leeds recycle the ball and James whips another cross in and the ball drops to Jospeh as Chalobah fails to head it.

The striker seemed to not be expecting it and could not react quickly enough to get a shot off.

    70. Junior Firpo is booked for a clumsy challenge on Raheem Sterling.

It gives Chelsea the chance to come forward but once again they pass the ball around at the back.

    68. Chelsea seem lacklustre in this half, whatever the manager said at the interval seems to have had the opposite effect.

Leeds are looking like the Premier League team as they knock the ball about with confidence.

The Blues are just chasing shadows most of the time.

  • Chelsea 2-2 Leeds
