RIYAD MAHREZ has been trolled by football fans for the cold way he told his wife about his transfer to Saudi Arabia.
Mahrez, 32, moved to the Middle East to join Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli from Manchester City last summer.
And in a new reality in documentary on Prime Video called “Married To The Game”, the lives of women who are dating or married to Premier League players has had the lid lifted.
Among this group is Mahrez and his partner Taylor Ward.
Taylor, 26, is the daughter of former Premier League star Ashley and Real Housewives Of Cheshire star Dawn and married Mahrez in 2022 before saying their vows again in September last year, which is shown in the documentary.
After spending five years with Man City, where he won four Premier League titles, Mahrez called time on his career to pursue a mega-bucks move to Saudi Arabia.

However, as detailed in the doc, the move left Taylor feeling upset with the move.
The trailer for the show, set to air on February 23, shows Mahrez and Taylor discussing the move.
After being pictured shedding some tears, Taylor can be seen saying: “Riyad rung me and basically told me ‘we’re moving to Saudi’.”
She adds: “I’m going to be sat here at home on my own.”

Mahrez then brutally responds by saying: “It’s part of the game isn’t it.”
After the clip was shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, fans could not help but poke fun at the Leicester title winning star.
Taking to the comments, one fan said: “Part of the game innit lmao.”
A second said: “Mahrez I wasn’t familiar with your game.”
A third said: “New meme incoming.”
Another said: “You just have to respect the game.”
A fifth added: “Motivational from Riyad Mahrez 😭.”
A sixth said: “Bro said that line like a topboy scene LOOOL.”
