MANCHESTER UNITED and Manchester City have drastically lost ground this season, according to a damning new statistic.
The stat also shows that Chelsea have improved on the previous campaign.
That is based off their points difference from this season’s results compared to the same fixtures last term.
Both United and City are on less points, whilst Chelsea have six more than in 2022/23.
The treble winners are instead on 12 less points, whilst their bitter rivals are seven points worse off.
City have won just five of their last six in the league, as well as losing three matches already this season.

Those defeats came away to Wolves, Arsenal and Aston Villa, where they collected a total of seven points last term.
Reacting to the stat on social media, one City fan joked: “We cannot compete.”
As for United, the Red Devils have already lost seven times in the league in 2023/24.
Erik ten Hag’s struggling side have been beaten by Tottenham, Arsenal, Brighton, Crystal Palace, City, Newcastle and Bournemouth in their opening 17 fixtures.

Their downturn in results compared to last season is in contrast to Chelsea’s improvements.
The Blues are on course to surpass their previous 12th place finish, their lowest since 1994, following Mauricio Pochettino’s arrival.
His side’s six point improvement has been boosted by draws with Liverpool, Arsenal and City, as well as a 4-1 victory at Spurs.
Chelsea are still down in 10th, though, with one rival fan commenting: “Imagine Chelsea +6 and still in 10th.”
Elsewhere, Villa and Spurs both have nine more points from the same fixtures, with Liverpool also better off than last season.
Arsenal and Newcastle, however, are narrowly worse off with one less point.
