A SHOCKING stat has confirmed that Chelsea are the join worst team in the Premier League.
The stat has come to light following the Blues’ dire 2-0 defeat at the hands of Everton.
This calendar year Chelsea have played 39 games but have only managed to win 39 points.
This averages out as a point-per-match played and is the worst record out of all the clubs that have played in both last season and the current campaign.
This record is only matched by Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest, however, they played one less game than the Blues.
The two clubs have averaged 1.02 points per game, a slightly better record than Chelsea.

Chelsea have been through a handful of managers in what has been a turbulent year for the club.
Graham Potter was sacked in April and replaced by Frank Lampard on an interim basis.
The club legend failed to improve things as the club slumped to a 12th-place finish in the Premier League last season.
Mauricio Pochettino was brought in during the summer, but he is yet to turn things around.
The Argentine has only picked up five wins from 16 league games this season, with the club still sitting in 12th.
To make matters worse for the Blues, the poultry points tally has come at a cost of millions.
Chelsea have spent over £1BILLION on new players since Todd Boehly’s arrival at the club last summer.
This includes a £385m splurge on talent in the January transfer window earlier this year.
The club then followed that up with a further £434.5m in the summer just gone.
Following the defeat to Everton, Pochettino has claimed that there is no quick fix to fix the club’s issues.
He said: “It’s not as easy to say that is the problem, it is not only one.
