EBANIE BRIDGES admitted she was “gutted” following her shock loss to Miyo Yoshida last night but promised she would bounce back.
The Aussie glamour girl lost by unanimous decision after a dominant performance by Yoshida.
Yoshida, 35, was drafted in at the last minute after Bridges’ prospective opponent, Avril Mathie, pulled out of the fight.
The defeat saw Bridges lose her IBF Bantamweight world title belt at the Chase Centre in San Francisco.
Bridges and Yoshida were on the undercard of the bout between Devin Haney and Regis Prograis, which Haney won with a huge points victory after dominating the fight.
Despite the Japanese star’s veteran status and her jumping in at the last minute, she was dominant in the fight and battered Bridges throughout.

The judges scored her a unanimous victory with two scores of 99-91 and one of 97-93.
Bridges struggled to ever get going and was consistently on the end of Yoshida’s powerful right hand.
Statistics afterwards showed that Yoshida landed 122 punches to the Blonde Bomber’s 66.
There was some controversy during the bout but it did little to effect the outcome of the tie.

Yoshida landed a controversial late shot following the bell in the fifth round but it was simply symbolic of her dominance on the night.
The defeat brings Bridges’ 21 month reign as IBF Bantamweight champion to an end.
Taking to X after the fight, Bridges said: “Absolutely gutted, it wasn’t my night. Big congrats to my opponent.
“She was the better fighter tonight. Beautiful & humble, single mother. Seeing how much that win meant to her & her daughter did give me some warmth inside.
“A loss doesn’t define me. I have no quit, it’s all learning and I’ll be back better & stronger. Thank you to everyone who supports me. I love you all.”
