GRAEME SOUNESS has slammed Jack Grealish and warned the England star is NOT likely to improve.
The pundit claims the winger poses little threat and is in danger of losing his place in the Manchester City side to Jeremy Doku full-time.
Souness pinpointed Grealish’s dire goalscoring form and criticised the England international for his lack of ambition going forward.
He also suggested he should be playing his best football given he is approaching his peak age at 28.
Souness wrote in his Daily Mail column: “Grealish has become very predictable. He takes his full-back down the line before checking inside and playing it square. There is no threat, no end-product.
“He has not scored in his last 30 appearances for club and country and has only two assists this season, so there you go. He’s a forward!

“He is, for me, at a crossroads in his City career. Doku is 21 years old and is only going to improve. Jack is 28. He needs to have a close look at himself. He should be in his pomp.
“Between 26 and 30 you have the knowledge, you’re physically and mentally stronger. He will not be getting any better. This should be his time.”
Doku, 21, has hit the ground running since joining City and has three goals and six assists in 15 games.
The Belgian even set a record as the youngest player to produce four assists in a single Premier League game when City thrashed Bournemouth 6-1 last month.

Doku’s arrival has seen Grealish drop to the bench on a number of occasions – having previously been a regular starter as Pep Guardiola’s side won the Treble last year.
He has kept his place in the England squad without persuading Gareth Southgate to make him first choice, and Souness has warned he cannot afford to be sitting on City’s bench ahead of Euro 2024.
The Scott added: “With the Euros coming up, and World Cup beyond that, he cannot afford to be sitting on the bench as a bit-part player.
“Only he can decide if he’s happy to be that. It’s not something I would have tolerated. I wanted to start every game and I did, if I was fit.”
