F1 fans couldn’t help but chuckle after Martin Brundle had a little run-in with a security guard at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
The Sky Sports F1 broadcaster was going about his usual pre-race grid walk before the final GP of the season when a burly security guard prevented him from passing through the paddock.
Brundle, ever the professional, stayed calm and composed as the bloke tried to stop him from proceeding.
The former McLaren man said: “This guy sorta keeps getting hold of me. You have to let go, my friend.”
The security guard was robust with his response to the British racing legend, saying: “I’m not going, I’m just blocking.”
Brundle, however, didn’t back down and insisted he be granted permission to proceed.
