ARSENAL fans have been left frustrated after Fabio Vieira missed a penalty for the club’s U21 side.
The Portuguese playmaker joined the Gunners from Porto last summer in a deal worth £35m.
But he has failed to live up to his price tag or his expectations since his arrival at the Emirates Stadium.
The 23-year-old managed just one goal and two assists in the Premier League last term and has been ridiculed for his frail physique.
And Arsenal supporters grew even more frustrated with him after he was sent off on Saturday during their 3-1 win over Burnley.
To make matters worse just three days latter he has missed a spot kick while representing the club’s U21 side.

Vieira was named in the team for the youth squad’s EFL Trophy group stage game against Reading’s first team.
And unfortunately for the attacking midfielder he missed a spot kick in the 82nd minute after former Manchester United goalkeeper Joel Pereira kept it out.
The ex-Red Devil did well to dive down to his side and prevent Vieira from slotting it into the bottom corner.
The Arsenal man had already put one penalty past Pereira earlier in the game when he converted from 12 yards in the 33rd minute.

But that didn’t stop Arsenal fans from losing their patience and voicing their frustrations online.
One fan wrote: “Fabio Vieira’s career at Arsenal is finished sadly. Hasn’t lived up to his Porto days.”
While another added: “Nah Fabio Vieira was actually another failed signing from Edu & Arteta.”
And a third chimed in saying: “From Porto baller to missed EFL trophy pens.”
Arsenal went on to lose the game 5-2 despite fellow first team star Reiss Nelson also featuring for the U21s.
Nelson showed his class during the game providing a sensational assist for Khayon Edwards in the 53rd minute.
