Why rapper Drake WON incredible £1.1MILLION bet on a technicality after controversial Logan Paul vs Dillon Danis ending

He stood to win £1.1million if the WWE star beat Danis via knockout in the co-main event of Misfits Boxing’s Prime card.

However, Drake had appeared to lose his bet after the bout went the distance.

The controversial ending to the fight has instead seen him cash in his incredible bet.

As the final bell rang, Danis attempted to choke out Paul, prompting a brawl to break out in the ring and the Bellator fighter was disqualified.

Disqualifications count as technical knockouts, meaning Drake was paid out on his massive bet.

His win saw him avoid his alleged “curse” when it comes to betting on major sporting events.

Fans have previously noticed that the musician has lost a series of huge bets, most recently on UFC 293 last month.

Drake had backed Israel Adesanya to defend his middleweight title, only for Stylebender to suffer a shock defeat to Sean Strickland.

The Drake Curse had even seen some fans congratulate Danis ahead of his fight with Paul after seeing the rapper’s bet.

Fortunately for Drake, though, he was able to have the last laugh after sharing his winning bet slip in a video on his Instagram story.
