HOLLYWOOD superstars Tom Cruise and Will Smith welcomed David Beckham to the USA in style when he joined LA Galaxy back in 2007.
The two legendary actors threw the England icon a star-studded party when he completed his blockbuster transfer from Real Madrid.
Some of the world’s biggest movie and music stars attended the huge bash – which was likened to an after-Oscars party – including Bruce Willis, Jim Carrey, Matthew Perry and Stevie Wonder.
Recalling the event in his Netflix documentary series, BECKHAM, the former Manchester United star said: “Well, the funny thing was I was friends with Tom Cruise.
“I remember Tom turning around and saying ‘me and Will are going to throw you a party.’
“And I was like… ‘Will?’

“He said ‘Will Smith!’
Speaking about the party, Beckham’s friend and business partner David Gardner said: “It was like being in Madame Tussauds, everywhere you looked there was a famous person.
“And then the next minute the piano starts going and Stevie Wonder starts singing him Happy Birthday.
“I’m just like ‘f**k this, he’s gone, we’ve lost him.'”

Beckham scored 20 goals and provided 42 assists in 124 appearances for LA Galaxy before leaving to join Paris Saint-Germain in 2013, where he retired.
The England legend returned to MLS the following year when he exercised his option to buy a team.
He then went on to form Inter Miami.
