Cancelo spent the second half of last season at Bayern Munich before sealing a season-long switch to the Spanish champions on deadline day.

According to Catalunya Radio, Cancelo’s feud with Guardiola stems from City’s loss to Manchester United in January.

The Spanish manager went on to make changes for his side’s next match, including dropping Cancelo for Lewis.

When City bounced back with a win, Lewis kept his place, which continued after another victory in their next game.
