A TOUCHING moment between Aaron Ramsdale and David Raya was caught on camera prior to the North London Derby.
The two Arsenal goalkeepers stopped for a hug after exchanging words before kick off.
Raya kept his spot in Mikel Arteta’s starting line-up ahead of the match, while Ramsdale – who has featured in every North London Derby since joining the club in 2021 – was named on the bench.
Arteta has insisted that he does not favour one goalkeeper over the other, but on Wednesday he claimed that he wants to make the “best decision” for the team.
After Arsenal’s 4-0 win over PSV, he said: “I understand that and it is very difficult with every player, and I get that with every player that’s not playing but it is my job to make the best decision for the team.
“He’s been very supportive around the place and that’s what I expect because when you’re playing there’s someone else who’s not and he’s been very good.

“Comfortable? Maybe I look it. It’s one of the hardest things. Players feel happy and valued when they play and when they don’t it’s hard.
“Everybody understands that it’s a team sport but we have seen how important the finishes are and everybody has a part to play in the season.”
Although he wasn’t named in the starting line-up, Ramsdale was keen to show his support from the bench.
After Raya made an outstanding save to stop Brennan Johnson from scoring during the first half, the England international signalled over to him while clapping.

Arsenal were held to a 2-2 draw by bitter rivals Tottenham in the North London derby.
The Gunners broke the deadlock in the 26th minute after Bukayo Saka’s shot was turned in by Cristian Romero.
However, Spurs levelled just before half time through Son Heung-min.
Arsenal took the lead again after the break when Saka converted from the penalty spot, but Tottenham equalised again just a few seconds after the restart when James Maddison capitalised on a mistake by Jorginho before passing the ball through to Son, who fired it past Raya.
