PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN are reportedly set to sign Manchester United transfer target Goncalo Ramos.
The young striker shot to fame at the World Cup when he started ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo in Portugal’s 6-1 victory over Switzerland.
It was the first time five-time Ballon d’Or winner Ronaldo hadn’t been picked for a major tournament fixture since 2008.
And Ramos, now 22, made the most of it as he netted a brilliant hat-trick in the last-16 clash – before keeping his spot for the shock quarter-final loss to Morocco.
United were instantly linked with for the Benfica star, especially given Ronaldo’s acrimonious departure a month earlier.
But he now seems destined for PSG, who are in need of a replacement for another global superstar, Kylian Mbappe.
Mbappe is at loggerheads with the Parisians, and the club are desperate to sell this summer, with Chelsea, Real Madrid and Al-Hilal interested.
And, according to Fabrizio Romano, they already have Ramos lined up after agreeing a £69m fee with Benfica.
Ramos – who notched 27 goals and 12 assists for Benfica last season – has reportedly agreed a contract until 2028.
And the deal could be completed this week, along with the £43m capture of Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele.

PSG remain committed to getting Mbappe off their books with the forward looking to run down his deal, which would allow him to leave for nothing next summer.
The club believes the French superstar, 24, has an agreement to join Madrid for free next year.
PSG are trying to offload their big-money man after he refused to sign a new contract and rejected a world-record transfer to Saudi Arabia.
It is understood the Ligue 1 champions want around £215m for Mbappe, although few clubs in world football could afford that.
If no agreement can be reached in the next month, Mbappe faces the real threat of being exiled from the PSG squad.
