Spurs star Yves Bissouma somehow escapes straight red for horror lunge as Man Utd fans say ‘Casemiro would get life ban’

FANS have all been left astounded after Yves Bissouma escaped a red card during Tottenham’s clash against Brentford.

The Spurs star lunged into a challenge in the first half of the encounter, leaving Yoane Wissa in a heap on the floor after getting no where near the ball.

With fans left wondering how the tackle did not receive a red card

However, referee Jarred Gillett only awarded a yellow card for the foul.

Fans spotted PGMOL chief Howard Webb scribbling notes onto a piece of paper, with one fan claiming he looked “concerned”.

They said: “Definite red card surely for that awful tackle by Bissouma 🟥 Howard Webb looking concerned in the stands as only a yellow is given…”

A second fan criticised an apparent double standard in the decision, saying: “If Casemiro just did that Bissouma challenge he’d have got a lifetime ban… 🙄.”

Reacting to the foul, another fan typed: “Casemiro gets sent off for that Bissouma tackle 🤷🏻‍♂️.”

A fourth remarked: “Surely that’s a red card from Bissouma? Reckless and endangering an opponent. Studs raised is not the only reason for a red. Shocking tackle.”

“How the hell was that not a red card for Bissouma?! Literally 2 feet off the ground from behind,” declared a fifth.

While another added: “No red for Bissouma? Off the floor? Through the back of Wissa?”

Bissouma joined Spurs last season but has struggled to bed into his new team, with injuries and shaky early performances sculpting his early career in north London.

The 26-year-old has started just nine league games this season, with his last league start coming in a 2-0 defeat to Aston Villa on January 1.

Spurs went on to lose the game 3-1 despite taking the lead through Harry Kane’s worldie.

Bryan Mbeumo’s brace and Wissa’s late strike saw the Bees reignite their own European hopes with Spurs now at risk of missing out entirely.
