Angry Man Utd fans march outside Old Trafford demanding full sale by hated Glazers ahead of Aston Villa clash

FURIOUS Manchester United fans marched to Old Trafford to vent their anger against the club’s owners once again and demand a full sale.

The organised protest saw thousands of Red Devils supporters gather in Manchester and make their way to the stadium ahead of the clash with Aston Villa.

And they once again vocalised their hatred of the unpopular Glazer family – just as they famously did when they stormed Old Trafford two years ago, postponing the clash against Liverpool.

Fan group The 1958 set up the march, which saw the large mass gather at the Nags Head pub, approximately ten minutes away from the ground.

Many of the supporters carried banners, wore gold and green scarves and held flares aloft.

They chanted for the Glazers to get out of the club amid the ongoing question marks regarding a possible sale.

But talk of a part-sale – which would see brothers Joel and Avram Glazer keep a stake in the club – have left fans fearing the worst.

And instead they want a full sale only, with Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani ready to stump up the cash to purchase the entire club.

United fan and billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe, though, would prefer to buy a stake which would see the Glazer siblings likely remain involved in some capacity.

And the Ineos chief is said to be the new favourite to complete a takeover, with his third bid reportedly bigger than the Qatari offer.

Four US hedge funds, including Elliott Management and the Carlyle group, are willing to provide finance for the Glazers to stay on, although their offers will only be assessed if the two main bids are rejected.

The Glazers value United at £6bn but the club’s share capitalisation value on the New York Stock Exchange fell 2.5 per cent to £2.6bn yesterday after initial rises in expectation of a sale were reversed by close of business.

On the pitch, Erik ten Hag’s side face in-form Aston Villa.

The Red Devils can take another giant step towards Champions League qualification with three points.

Captain Harry Maguire is only fit enough for the bench as he recovers from the abdominal injury that forced him out of Thursday’s 2-2 draw at Tottenham.

That means the Dutch boss goes with a back four of Diogo Dalot, Victor Lindelof, Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia.
