BAYERN MUNICH are interested in signing Manchester United midfielder Casemiro, according to reports.
Thomas Tuchel’s side are on the search for a new defensive midfielder, with the ex- Chelsea boss a huge fan of the Brazilian.
Casemiro arrived at Old Trafford last summer for £70million and has since proved to be an integral part of Erik ten Hag’s side.
The five-time Champions League winner, has been credited with helping his new club win the Carabao Cup in March and carve out a promising position in the race for the top four.
The ex-Real Madrid midfielder has scored five goals and provided seven assists for United this season.
He is also a likely contender to be nominated for the Premier League Player of the Year award.

The Man Utd boss told reporters: “Casemiro, in this team, he is such a leader, and he is so important for us”.
However, his value to the Red Devils appears not to have disheartened former Premier League boss Tuchel.
Bayern Munich are suffering a rare dip in form domestically, with Borussia Dortmund surpassing them at the top of the table last weekend.
The former Chelsea boss is therefore keen to bring experienced leaders into his dressing room during a summer rebuild.

Bayern are specifically focused on buying a top-class holding midfielder, which could raise question marks about Liverpool target Ryan Gravenberch’s future.
According to the Daily Mail, Casemiro is a top transfer target for the Bavarians.
It is understood that Tuchel would like to support Joshua Kimmich with greater defensive protection in the middle of the park, forming a double pivot to protect the the back line.
But most United fans have issued a hands-off warning.
Supporters were quick to respond, with one saying: “As if we are going to sell one of our best players to Bayern”.
Another added: “Please tell me this is a joke. He is unavailable!”.
Whilst other fans were willing to set some interesting terms.
One noted: “600 million and he’s yours”.
Another jokingly added: “300million and Musiala please Thomas”.
While one declared: “Give us Kimmich, Musiala, De Light, Phonzy and Goretzka and you’ve got yourself a deal sir”.

The German outlet Kicker did not say whether we should expect an official bid for Casemiro, but Tuchel is definitely said have placed the Brazilian on his radar.
In some good news for United fans, Casemiro does not appear to have any desire to leave Old Trafford this summer.
