LEICESTER are expected to appoint Jesse Marsch as their new manager within the next 24 hours, according to reports.
On Friday, SunSport revealed Marsch had emerged as the shock favourite for the job.
And according to The Telegraph, he is now on the verge of returning to management.
The American held positive talks with Leicester chiefs on Thursday and he is expected to agree terms for a contract within the next 24 hours.
Marsch is set to replace Brendan Rodgers, who was sacked last Sunday following Leicester’s 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace.
He will be faced with the huge task of guiding the Foxes out of the relegation zone and to safety before the end of the Premier League campaign.

Martin O’Neill and Dean Smith were also considered for the job, but Leicester chiefs have opted for Marsch following his success in saving Leeds from the dreaded drop last season.
After replacing Marcelo Bielsa in February 2022, Marsch spent one year at Elland Road before losing his job earlier this season.
Should he be named Leicester manager, the 49-year-old will return to Yorkshire before the end of the month.
The Foxes are set to face Leeds at Elland Road on April 25.
