Fans reacting on social media claimed to have heard a cry of “f***ing wake up” come through the pitchside mic.
It came during a pulsating encounter at Anfield that saw Liverpool throw away a two goal lead.
Darwin Nunez put the Reds ahead with an outrageous flicked effort, before Mo Salah doubled the lead following a Thibaut Courtois howler.
The goalie saw the ball rebound off his knee and into the path of Salah, who gratefully poked home.

But Real Madrid came roaring back, levelling the score through a Vinicius Jr brace.
Vinicius copied Cristiano Ronaldo’s celebration after finding the back of the net.
His second came after another goalkeeper error, although this time it was Alisson at fault.
The Anfield keeper saw a shocking pass rebound off Vinicius and loop into the back of the net.
