Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk’s promoters hold showdown talks over fight at Arsenal’s title clash against Man City

TYSON FURY and Oleksandr Usyk’s representatives have met up to negotiate a blockbuster fight during the Premier League title showdown between Arsenal and Manchester City.

Fury’s UK co-promoter Frank Warren and his son George held talks with Usyk’s rep Alex Krassyuk at the Emirates during perhaps the most crucial match of the Premier League season.

The two undefeated heavyweights have been linked with a megafight for a long time but a deal is still being discussed.

Talks over the historic bout have stagnated since they resumed last December, laying waste to the initial target date of March 4.

SunSport reported that Krassuyk flew into London on Tuesday to finalise the undisputed showdown.

It’s been claimed that the sticking point is the purse split, which Usyk’s manager wants to be 50-50.

The two camps are set to discuss some major points, such as the venue for the fight.

Saudi Arabia was initially the favourite to land the first undisputed heavyweight dust-up in nearly a quarter of a century.

But Wembley has now emerged as a serious contender to host the bout.

April 29 is the new working date for the bout, which Warren is optimistic will come to fruition.

Fury has grown tired of the delay and has considered the prospect of a hybrid fight with UFC legend Francis Ngannou.

If the fight falls apart again then the Battle of Britain against Anthony Joshua could finally happen.

Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn admitted that his client could take the Gypsy King on if AJ beats Jermaine Franklin on April 1.
