SEVILLA boss Jorge Sampaoli has spoken publicly of his desire to sign Bryan Gil from Tottenham.
Spurs were not planning to let the Spanish international go out on loan during this window.
But the loan capture of Arnaut Danjuma could change things before Tuesday’s deadline.
Argentine Sampaoli took over Sevilla in the summer having bossed Marseille last term.
And now he has revealed that he wants the 21-year-old on-board for the rest of the campaign.
He said: “Bryan Gil is on my radar because I called him personally last year in Marseille.

“He seems to me a player who would give us things on the wing.
“I already wanted to sign him when I was Olympique Marseille coach.”
SunSport understands no deal is close at this stage.
Gil will be in Tottenham’s squad on Saturday for their FA Cup fourth-round clash at Preston.

He moved to the North London club from Sevilla back in 2021.
But he has only made 13 appearances in the Premier League for them so far.
The ace was allowed out on loan last January just after Antonio Conte had taken charge.
He headed back to LaLiga with Valencia and played 13 games in the top flight.
Gil has had to bide his time under Conte since returning but impressed this month with his performance during the 4-0 win at Crystal Palace.
