Former Newcastle flop Florian Thauvin is now on the hunt for a new club after being released by Mexican side Tigres UANL.

The 29-year-old joined the club in 2021 and scored eight league goals in 38 appearances.

He could go to the Court of Arbitration for Sport as a response to his exit from the club, according to FootMercato.

But while that decision is set to be made, the Frenchman will have to find a new club.

While the names of prospective clubs have not been linked, it would be an easier move for the winger than hopping back across the Atlantic Ocean.

During his time at St James’ Park, Thauvin only featured 13 times in the Premier League and failed to score on each occasion.
