LUIS ENRIQUE has emerged as a contender to be named Brazil boss, according to reports.
The Selecao are currently managerless after Tite stepped down following their World Cup exit.
Brazil were eliminated in the quarter-finals by Croatia, a round further than Enrique managed with Spain.
The former Barcelona boss took LA Roja to the round of 16, where they were knocked out by Morocco.
According to Brazilian outlet UOL Sport, Enrique is one of a number of high-profile candidates that Selecao bigwigs want to talk to.
Brazilian football federation boss Ednaldo Rodrigues is set to travel to Europe as their manager hunt intensifies.

On Rodrigues’ agenda could be a trip to Spain for a face to face meeting with Enrique.
The 52-year-old is reportedly “excited” by the prospect of managing Brazil.
He is claimed to have been in contact with Brazil legend Ronaldo regarding the post, having played with the ex-striker at Barcelona.
Enrique also managed Neymar at Barca during arguably the attacker’s best ever season in 2014-15.

Ronaldo, 46, is reportedly willing to endorse Enrique as his choice for the job.
But Brazil chiefs will still consider other candidates.
Jose Mourinho has been linked with the job.
While UOL’s report claims that Brazil would also like to launch an ambitious move for either Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti or Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola.
